Announcing our new look!
Wilderness Way is currently re-painting the street-side of our building! To follow the progress of our new image, click here. The new store back will have a large mural of an outdoor scene with trees and plantings in front. We believe this new look will not only help improve the appearance of the building, but will greatly add to the look and feel of downtown Soldotna. This effort underscores Wilderness Way's commitment to preserving the environment and adding to the value and livability of our community.

Archery Great news - our new indoor archery range is now open for your shooting enjoyment! We have just completed construction on our new 4-lane indoor archery range, conveniently located in the basement level of Wilderness Way Sporting Goods. We still have a few finishing touches to add to the range, but if you're ready for some serious pre-season archery practice or just want to get in a little shooting during bad weather, come on in and try out our new facilities! Our Archery Pro Shop is now fully set up and stocked as well, so come on in and let Brian, the owner and head archer of Wilderness Way, help you get your equipment ready for the shooting season. How about archery accessories? We think you'll like what we've done in our archery department. From arrows and points to releases, quivers and hunting gear, we think we've got pretty much everything you need to make that next hunt a great success. And if we don't have exactly what you're looking for, we can usually special-order it for you. We plan on continuing to expand our archery department over the next few years, and we need your advice on what we should be carrying to fully serve the local archery community. Give us your support, and we'll build you a solid, well-stocked archery supply house right here in Soldotna! Kayaks and Canoes Our new shipment of Kayaks and Canoes has just arrived, and they are really beautiful! If you're a watersports fan, you need to come on in and see our new boats and gear! Expanded Fly Shop Last summer we added some new fly fishing gear and flies, and the response was great! So this year we are greatly expanding our selection of flies and fly-tying supplies. Our big spring shipments should be arriving within the next few weeks, and we will have an even wider selection of flies, beads, tying material, fly-fishing accessories and gear for your use. Come on in and we can get you fully outfitted for the spring fishing season. We are excited this year to be adding the Simms line of waders, jackets, and fly-fishing gear to our store! The Simms name is well-known to experienced fly-fishermen who value top-quality gear. We should be receiving our first shipments of Simms gear within the next week. We are determined to become your one-stop shopping place for fly-fishing on the Kenai Penninsula, but we need your help! Stop in and let us know what we need to have in stock to meet your needs. We can't carry everything, but we want to have whatever you need to keep you out on the water catching fish!

We have the newest summer outdoor clothing from NorthFace, Patagonia, and Mountain Hardwear in stock, ready to keep you comfortable on your next hiking, or fishing trip. The new shipments of Kelty, NorthFace and Mountain Hardwear gear have also arrived, and we are getting more shipments in every day, so come in and see what we have to make your outdoor experience even better!
