Announcing our new look!
Wilderness Way is currently re-painting the street-side of our building and we will keep you updated on line of our progress. The new store back will have a large mural of an outdoor scene with trees and plantings in front. We believe this new look will not only help improve the appearance of the building, but will greatly add to the look and feel of downtown Soldotna. This effort underscores Wilderness Way's commitment to preserving the environment and adding to the value and livability of our community.

Backpacks and Day PacksWe have your next backpack! As you can see in this picture, here at Wilderness Way we use what we sell.
Even our store mascot, Sammie, loves her Wilderness Way pack! Why go to some impersonal warehouse outlet or low quality department store when you can come to Wilderness Way and get expert advice to help you find exactly the right pack system for your own personal needs? We have a wide variety of back packs in all styles and for all uses.
All of our backpacks are top brands like Osprey, North Face, Mountain Hardware, Granite Gear and Patagonia. These packs will last the dedicated hiker for years, unlike those cheap department store packs that fall apart on a wilderness hike or hunting trip just when you really need them to perform! Come on in and visit our pack department to have our experienced sales personel help you find the pack that is just right for your needs. We have recently expanded our selection of packs to include more camoflage packs and other specialty packs.

DANA K-2 PACKS! For you die-hard fans of the old Dana K-2 packs, have we got great news for you! Wilderness Way purchased a limited supply of Dana Packs from the factory when they decided to close out the Dana line after merging with Marmot. These packs are highly regarded by many serious backpackers as the ultimate pack line, and we have select models for you to choose from. These are not used packs, but are brand-new, straight from the factory! Call us or come on in to see whether we have what you need.
